About
At the beginning of 2012, we will engage in a 21 day season of prayer and fasting. This has proven to jump start our new year with huge spiritual momentum that sets the tone for our effectiveness throughout the year. I believe with all my heart that for the church to prevail in this next season, a culture of prayer and fasting in our churches is vital.
This January, we are uniting with several other churches in the nation and around the world to engage in a season of prayer in fasting together. I would like to invite you to join us. We are calling this spiritual campaign:
Awakening: 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
January 9 – January 29, 2012
The goal of “Awakening” is:
To come together as the church during this season of prayer and fasting and align ourselves, our church leadership and our congregations with what God wants to do in 2012.
Many of you have already established a season of prayer and fasting and have experienced the powerful impact it has had. In years past, we have seen increased salvations, breakthroughs and miracles as we chose to put God first at the onset of the year. Just imagine what can happen if the Body of Christ unites behind this purpose that is so close to the heart of God. What a powerful way to start off the year.
There will be several resources on this website that will help you engage in prayer and fasting in your own life. Some of these will include tips on how to start a fast; a suggested fasting calendar; a 21 day devotional study through the Gospel of John and more.
So mark your calendars with the Awakening Dates – January 9th – January 29th and start making plans to join us. We’re excited about starting the year together with you in a season of prayer and fasting and can’t wait to see all that God is going to do in and through us all.
